Building Effective Leadership

AWSP's Building Effective Leadership (BEL) is a three-part series for leaders in years 2 and beyond. The series is built on the belief that authentic leadership is rooted in understanding and leveraging one’s own strengths and personality. BEL is not about lectures or your typical sit-and-get workshop.

To become an effective leader you need to experience dynamic, scenario-based learning that mirrors the complex challenges school leaders face every day. With your colleagues, you will navigate real situations and connect your leadership to your strengths to maximize the positive impact on students and adults.

The more effective school leaders are, the more resourceful, instructive, and effective our school systems can become. Professional learning is your super power and you won’t want to miss this!

What are Leaders Saying?

"BEL has been really helpful connecting me with colleagues from across the state who are experiencing the same things I experience. It helped me broaden my network to connect with people who might have other ideas around how to tackle the work."
